Ammunition: PMC .223 FMJ-BT 55grn<br />
Sights: LMT Front and Rear Tactical sights<br />
Stance: Benchrested and Sitting<br />
Distance: 25 Meters<br />
Targets: <a href="http://www.bobdbob.com/~deneb/doc/targets/m16a2-25m-zero.pdf" target="_blank">M16A2 -- 25M Zeroing Target</a></p>
<p>The other day I went to Scottsdale Gun Club to Zero in my AR-15 at 25/300 meters&#8230;</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);" href="http://camondraconis.com/blog/wp-images/RR_4-2-10/rr_4-2-10_1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="Click to enlarge" src="http://camondraconis.com/blog/wp-images/RR_4-2-10/rr_4-2-10_1s.jpg" alt="image" /><span id="more-157"></span></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">A good write up on this process can be found <a href="http://sites.google.com/site/jimmyhots/usmc25mar-15zero" target="_blank">here</a>. The process is done using standard A2/A3 sights with an 8/3 or 6/3 rear elevation. Believe me you need to at least know how to shoot to do this. The silhouette target is about 8cm long and 4cm wide. At 25 Meters it looks like small black splot. Theoretically after following this process at 25 meters your rifle should be zeroed at 300 meters as well. DPMS made a quick video demonstrating the process:</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span class="youtube">
<object width="480" height="385">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/Etnf76QTu_U&amp;rel=1&amp;color1=d6d6d6&amp;color2=f0f0f0&amp;border=0&amp;fs=1&amp;hl=en&amp;autoplay=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;showsearch=0" />
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
<embed wmode="transparent" src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/Etnf76QTu_U&amp;rel=1&amp;color1=d6d6d6&amp;color2=f0f0f0&amp;border=0&amp;fs=1&amp;hl=en&amp;autoplay=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;showsearch=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed>
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>
</span><p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Etnf76QTu_U">www.youtube.com/watch?v=Etnf76QTu_U</a></p></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);" href="http://camondraconis.com/blog/wp-images/RR_4-2-10/rr_4-2-10_3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="Click to enlarge" src="http://camondraconis.com/blog/wp-images/RR_4-2-10/rr_4-2-10_3s.jpg" alt="image" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">And this is my target. The first group being my first shots. After adjusting the windage and elevation I fired the 2nd group. Re-adjusting I then fired the 3rd group (shot 7 for good measure. Two fliers because I started rushing.). The target at the top is my confirmation target to confirm zero. Again with 2 fliers&#8230; I must not like the right shoulder much.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">After confirming zero the rest of my shooting for the day consisted of close range rapid shooting, handgun practice, and Saiga Stress Therapy(AKA LEAD SPAM!). Afterward and feeling a bit fatigued I thought I would do one more benchrested target.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);" href="http://camondraconis.com/blog/wp-images/RR_4-2-10/rr_4-2-10_2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="Click to enlarge" src="http://camondraconis.com/blog/wp-images/RR_4-2-10/rr_4-2-10_2s.jpg" alt="image" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">15 shots @ 25 Meters. I am going to assume because I started rushing and forgetting proper breath control that the fliers to the right would be my last few shots. But not bad if you ask me. Some of my best rifle shooting yet, especially on irons. In a few days I will be heading out to an outdoor range to zero at 100 Meters and 300 Meters following <a href="http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&amp;f=18&amp;t=328143" target="_blank">this post on AR15.com</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">
<p style="text-align: left;">So the moral of the trip: Pray that if I&#8217;m shooting you at 300 meters your Heart isn&#8217;t located in your right shoulder&#8230; lol.</p>

I loved shooting the Glock but the finger grooves were just uncomfortable. But I also enjoy the trigger on the XDm over the Glock too. I open carry this with Hornady TAP 185gr JHP bullets.</p>
<p>Some specs:</p>

<li>4.5in match grade barrel.</li>
<li>Magazine Capacity holds 16 rounds of .40SW.</li>
<li>Dovetail Sights 3 Dot.</li>
<li>~8lb Trigger Pull.</li>
